Philippines to Make Debut at The World Games 2025
After a historic 11th place finish at the World Floorball Championships in Malmö, the Philippines men's national team has qualified for The World Games 2025 in Chengdu, China – marking a major milestone for the sport in the country.
The World Games is an international multi-sport event featuring disciplines not included in the Olympic Games. Held every four years under the patronage of the International World Games Association (IWGA), it gathers elite athletes from around the world. The 2025 edition will take place in Chengdu from August 7–17 and includes 34 sports across 253 medal events.
The Philippines earned their ticket to the tournament by finishing as the highest-ranked team from the Asia-Oceania region at the 2024 World Championships. This placement reflects their remarkable growth and rising status in the international floorball scene.
The men’s floorball tournament at The World Games will be held at the Xindu Xiangcheng Sports Center in Chengdu – a 3,200-seat venue that will showcase the best of global floorball talent.
The Philippines has been placed in Group C, alongside powerhouses Sweden, Switzerland, and Latvia. It will be the first time a Philippine national team competes in The World Games, and expectations are high.
With Chengdu on the horizon, the Philippines is preparing to take on the world’s best – ready to prove they belong at the highest level.
